In Lubbock, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Patio Decor is a great place to find glazed pots, chimineas, fountains, concrete statues, and decorative metal art. We've purchased a chiminea, two large glazed pots, and two large metal plants from them over the years. I have my eye on a Raider Red statue, but I have not brought one home yet. The owners and employees are very nice and go out of their way to make sure you find exactly what you are looking for. They have a great selection and very reasonable prices.

First, I want to say I have shopped at this place over the years many times. Love, love their butterfly stepping stones. Plus, they now have bunny stepping stones. Their pots are good prices. My three-star review is based on my 2024 visit regarding customer service. The young guy helping me was fab. He got me checked out quickly and was about to load my items. Then the owner walked in with another customer. I was made to wait until that customer got checked out and then she was loaded before my items were loaded. In this day and age, customer service should be a top priority. Making a customer wait like I did - is disrespectful and tells me that my purchase didn't mean anything to you as a business owner. Yes, you can get some great pots for your flowers, as well as unique stepping stones, but be forewarned that if you are made to wait like me you might loose your top!

Great selection of statues and vases of all kinds. The owners are very helpful and friendly!! We bought a painted Raider Red and an unpainted veteran memorial and wound up going back later to purchase a bunch of tin cactus in different colors/sizes. They helped us load everything into our truck, used boxes for padding and a custom frame for Raider Red to make sure nothing broke. Worth going by to see what they have - you never know what you might find for your lawn or garden!!!
